Topper just amazes me. At home he avoids me and barely lets me catch him. I thought we had a breakthrough last month when he snuggled up to me as we drove to our visit but as soon as we got home he ignored me again.
He has no fear of the wheel chairs or the people. On Tuesday there were two dogs in the facility and he didn't even hesitate to walk past them. The photo is from a facility in Blaine but this past Tuesday we visited a facility in Coon Rapids.
Topper just walks through the door and rests his head on each person's lap. I love the stories the people tell. One lady told us her daddy raises horses in North Dakota. They like to share with me how to care for the horses. One man with a thick German accent kept hugging Topper. He told Topper that he was a handsome boy and that he hoped he lived a long and healthy life. The man had an incredible smile and was so thrilled to be able to hug Topper.
I thought I was doing it for others but boy, does it warm my heart! We will do some visiting on St. Patrick's Day!
